Luca Leandri

Luca Leandri is a ceramic artist and sculptor born in 1964 in the town of Deruta, Umbria. He discovered ceramics at a young age and mastered ancient techniques to find his own distinctive style and design philosophy. He is among the leading experimental contemporary ceramicists in Italy: in his works he explores materials and forms that combine Eastern (raku) and Western (buccero, deruta) traditions. Leandri is also greatly involved in teaching, in line with his spirit of experimentation, working to stimulate the creativity of young and special needs children.
