Part of a series of large-format artworks reinterpreting the works of Renaissance and Baroque masters from Italy, this painting depicts details from Caravaggio's "Deposition," ousted from its naturalistic context to immerse in metaphysical space. Painted on paper with alcohol colors and pigments, lines, and patterns are made with the use of an intaglio press.
