Sole D'Oriente Murano Glass Sculpture

Part of the Le Città Invisibili Collection, named after the original title for "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino, this Murano glass sculpture was inspired by the book's visionary, utopian scenarios. The orange filaments extend from a resin hill, chiseled and glazed in black, the whole reminding of sultry sun rays flooding a verdant landscape. A bell jar crafted of clear blown glass completes the design.
