The Le Carousel Plate comes from a collection of dishes inspired by the famous celebration that Louis XIV held at the Louvre for the birth of his son. Among the various delegations present were the Turks, a demonstration of the importance of the Ottoman Empire. The Le Carousel Collection has a total of six plates, each depicting a different scene.
