Clesitera Glass Vase by Ettore Sottsass - Post Design

Embodying the true essence of the Memphis cultural phenomenon of the '80s, this vase designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1986 is crafted of multi-colored blown glass in a captivating composition that effortlessly balances shapes and colors. Rising from a round black base, the vase develops on four tiers around a cylindrical stem, with green jagged-shaped and red scalloped glass pendants, and topped with a yellow inverted cone on a lilac sphere. The sharp transition of shapes is highlighted by the different colors. This unique vase is inscribed on the base with "E.Sottsass per Memphis Milano."
