Casa Marras

Ever since debuting his first clothing collection in 1987, fashion designer Antonio Marras has been known and sought after for his experimentation, creative rebellion, and clever integration of art, dance, theater, and cinema. Born in Alghero, Sardinia in 1961, his collections are inspired by his home island, serving as the leitmotif or ligazzio rubio (“red thread” in Sardinian dialect) portrayed with contemporary style and never reduced to folkloristic kitsch. In 2013, Marras received the Honoris Causa Degree in Visual Arts from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
