Artieri Alabastro
Lighting Maker - Toscana, Italy

Cooperativa Artieri Alabastro was founded in 1895 in Volterra (Pisa) with the purpose of gathering Volterra’s most qualified alabaster artisans to ensure the preservation of this noble traditional craft. The name “Artieri” was suggested by Gabriele D'Annunzio, who, after visiting the association in 1908, was impressed by the alabaster pieces made by Volterran artisans. Since the early 1930s, Artieri became one of the most important Italian Decò manufactures in the world, whose works combine undisputed executive mastery, high-quality materials, and formal refinement.
