A childhood memory of Alberto Camerini’s Rock’n’Roll Robot, the allure of tin robots in Budapest’s dusty shop windows, and Asimov’s three laws of robotics. From these fragments came the desire to make robots tactile, soft, and inviting, inspiring Automata Alpha and Automata Beta. Part of Illulian’s Limited Edition, this hand-knotted, hand-carded Gold 100 rug in wool and silk (152,000 knots/m²) is also available in Platinum 120. Made in Nepal.
