Feuillage Painting

A unique work of art from an exclusive series of paintings inspired by 20th-century French artist Le Douanier Rousseau and his paintings of the forest at night, this large-format artwork embodies Giusto Pilan's artistic research, that of recovering a lost memory originating from the birth of mankind. Entirely handmade, it was created using a mixed technique that begins by pressing iron stencils to create human or nature-inspired figures, then filled with alcohol-based colors and pigments.
